To Begin Again…

To Begin Again…

Failure, and becoming derailed
Your forward momentum stops
Your mind chaotic, one thought, “I’ve failed”
Your spirit once high, yet now it drops

To fail, many believe is the end
Yet, failure only occurs when one reaches
To avoid it, most their desires they bend
Blind to what their experience truly teaches

Listening to the cacophonous polyphony
Of thoughts both dark and accusational
Few are willing to experience the epiphany
Of honest self-appraisal, truly educational

To begin again
One must continue to reach
Forgetting that which has been
And, accepting what failures teach

So, to begin again requires great courage
But, letting go of the fear of failing
In self-focused effort to encourage
One’s growth progressively unveiling
